Box and lid printed side by side, already joined by a 5-knuckle hinge. Swing the lid 180° and it drops onto the box. 76 × 60 × 40 mm box, 12 mm lid with a friction lip Ø3.2 mm pin in Ø4 mm knuckles (0.4 mm clearance), printed assembled Hinge axis placed so the lid lands exactly on the box when closed Checked in CAD every 5–10° from 0° to 180°: nothing collides while it swings Thumb tab to open Print settings A1 mini, 0.20 mm, PLA, no supports: 1 h 13 min, 56 g. The whole plate is 165 × 60 mm. After printing, work the hinge gently a few times; if it is stiff, check your elephant-foot compensation. Parametric OpenSCAD source included: change the values at the top of the file. About this design Checked for overhangs and bed fit, and sliced in Bambu Studio before release. Pictures are 3D renders.
