An octagonal, flared uplighter shade above a stepped, tapering octagonal finial, set against a tall backplate with a stepped top and six raised chevrons running down below the shade. About 6.7 cm wide, 3.7 cm deep and 12.6 cm tall at 100%. Art Deco, named after the 1925 Paris exhibition of decorative arts, flourished in the 1920s and 1930s; fans, sunrays, chevrons, fluting and stepped forms were favourite motifs. A strong graphic piece for a hallway, stairwell or a 1920s-themed room. Print the shade in white or translucent filament for a soft glow, and pick out the chevrons in gold or brass paint. Size and safety: at about 12.6 cm tall this is a small decorative sconce, not a shade for a mains fitting; no lamp holder or cable route is modelled. Use only a battery LED tea light or puck. If you adapt it into a wired fitting, use LED bulbs only and follow your local electrical rules. Print notes: print upright with the backplate vertical.
