A wide half-round bowl with scalloped fluting and a flat rim, sitting on a stepped octagonal bracket at the top of a narrow pilaster backplate. The backplate has vertical reeding and a chamfered foot. About 9.4 cm wide, 5.3 cm deep and 12.6 cm tall at 100%. Art Deco, named after the 1925 Paris exhibition of decorative arts, flourished in the 1920s and 1930s; fans, sunrays, chevrons, fluting and stepped forms were favourite motifs. Half-moon bowl uplighters on a column-like plate are a classic Deco wall light, washing light up the wall and ceiling. Ideal for a hallway, a landing or a dining room with a 1920s or 1930s feel. Print the bowl in white or translucent filament and paint the pilaster in brass or gold. Size and safety: at about 12.6 cm tall this is a small decorative sconce, not a shade for a mains fitting; no lamp holder or cable route is modelled. Use only a battery LED tea light or puck. If you adapt it into a wired fitting, use LED bulbs only and follow your local electrical rules. Print notes: print upright with the backplate vertical.
