The new (2026 model) Vespa Primavera only fits small Integral helmets up to Size "L". In order to fit a larger "XL" helmet a lock extender needs to be fitted in-between the lock and the seat. The seat will not close entirely when the extender is installed but there is only a small gap. Remove the extender before sitting on the Vespa and before driving. The adapter is printed with supports. Choose organic supports (on build plate only) for best results. Due to the direction of the layer lines the extender imperatively needs to be reinforced by an M3x30mm socket head screw. Use PC or fibre reinforced PC filament and an infill of 80% for best results. For extra strength a metal adapter can be printed, omitting the need for the reinforcing screw. The printing service from https://jlc3dp.com delivered a good result in stainless steel. In this case the infill should be reduced to around 20% in order to reduce weight. An STL for metal printing without the hole is also provided.
