About this model

In this model I've included 3 magic tricks with various uses; 1. The Weighted die How it works: The die is hollowed out under the 6 as to uneven the weight ratio between numbers and make the die land on 6 more often if not always. Print instructions: For best results, print on 0.1 layer height with a 0.18 base. It is necessary to print on high infill regions, specifically 40%+, higher infill percentage meaning better functionality. 2. The Vanishing Ball How it works: It's pretty simple to deduce the functions of each of the pieces, so I will use this space instead to elaborate upon how to function the trick. First, put the fake ball into the lid of the cup. It should fit seamlessly. Place the ball into the cup and cover it with the lid and fake ball. Then, in front of the audience, pinch the lid and fake ball to reveal the ball. Remove the ball from the cup and put it in a side pocket. place the lid and fake ball back on the cup, say the magic words, pull off the lid and BAM! The ball is there. Place the lid back on, do the "magic" again, take the lid and ball off and reveal the empty cup. pull the ball out of your pocket and show it to the audience. thus ends the trick. Print instructions: To make the trick more convincing, print the cup and lid a different color from the ball. For the fake ball, start with the color you used for the cup and swap the filament on the layer that it changes from lid to ball. 3. The Slide Illusion How it works: This trick relies on perspective; it fools the eyes into believing a ball is rolling up a slide when in fact it is just rolling down a slight decline. Print instructions: Use the same ball you used for the ball-and-cup-trick for this illusion.
